To attain true healing, an individual needs to explore their cognitions (thoughts) and beliefs. A person’s self-talk can become that individual’s belief system. This will either promote the person or hinder the person. Sometimes past traumas, or wounds, negatively impact an individual’s belief system. Exploring those disturbances and assisting the body in healing from those injuries, possibly through Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), allows the individual to fully release the pain and attain true PEP for Life.
What an individual eats and drinks plays a significant role in how the body will function physically as well as psychologically. If someone is consuming inflammatory foods, the body is going to be inflamed. This will create a host of physical ailments as well as emotional distress. It is inaccurate to believe the mind/brain is separate from the rest of the body. The body works intricately and synergistically. Nutrition is a significant component in attaining true PEP for Life.
The research is clear, physical activity is a vital component of a healthy lifestyle. Obviously, physical activity assists with maintaining a healthy weight. It also assists in decreasing symptoms associated with depression and anxiety. It circulates blood to all areas of the body including the brain. It also assists in metabolizing stress hormones. Merely 30 minutes a day will assist an individual in attaining true PEP for Life.

Some people think seeking help is a sign of weakness. I completely disagree. I believe it takes an inordinate amount of strength to reach out for help. Anyone can choose to keep doing what they are doing, not living the life they would like to live. However, individuals who recognize they are not as healthy as they would like to be AND decide to do something about it, are extremely strong individuals.
